Buckle Up Adapter
The Buckle Up Adapter is our interpretation of mounting all of our Chest Rigs to tactical plate carrier vests as a front panel.
Thanks to this solution, the Chest Rig can be used as part of a modular equipment system that can be configured according to the task at hand.
The adapter can be used in most plate carriers that are not equipped with buckles for attaching front panels, as well as in slightly older tactical vest designs.
To do this, you need to:
- Remove the female buckles from the Chest Rig harness (the buckles have special notches).
- Remove all buckles and the waist belt from the Chest Rig itself.
- Then attach one end of the buckle detached from the harness to the end of the laminate tape included in the set.
- Attach the buckle and tape at the desired height on the front of the tactical vest, threading it through the carrying straps on the plate carrier.
- If the plate carrier has a soft Velcro panel on the front, you can additionally attach the Chest Rig with Velcro by removing its rear panel.
- Attach the adjustable side straps included in the set to the cummerbund of the plate carrier and attach the special repair buckles to the Chest Rig loops.
- After putting on the vest, fasten the side buckles, which will additionally secure the whole thing against slipping.
If the plate carrier has special buckles and a place to attach them, then all you need to do is use the side straps, which will additionally secure the Chest Rig against movement.
